When it comes to alcohol, it’s time to treat Ontarians like responsible adults. You should have the right to make your own decisions about where and what you purchase.
When it comes to convenience, you should be able to pick up beer or wine along with the rest of your groceries, or when you make a last-minute stop for snacks on the way home.
Ontario has been under the thumb of a big multinational brewer monopoly. That is not right, or fair. When it comes to doing business, Ontario should be open for all.
TIME FOR ONTARIO TO CATCH UP
Our current model largely benefits multinational beer corporations – this needs to change. Offering beer, wine and cider on more store shelves across the province will give consumers greater choice and convenience. And for small independent businesses — such as corner stores, wineries and craft breweries — it means new opportunities to showcase their products and reach underserved markets. Help the market for alcohol in Ontario become more competitive.
